Alton "Bull" Durham October 01, 1927 March 18, 2016 Wilson............ Alton "Bull" Durham, age 88, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016. He retired from the Wilson Fire Department after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Holloman Durham; parents, John Henry Durham and Martha Ophelia Hamm Durham; three sisters and seven brothers. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Danny Bunn officiating. He is survived by daughters, Lynn Driver (Phil) of Wilson, Ann Durham of Wilson; sons, Richard Alton Durham (Linda) of Black Creek, Bobby Durham (Joy) of Elm City, Robby Durham of Wilson; grandchildren, Mandy Durham of Wilson, April Antill (Larry) of Red Oak, Ronald High (Sandra) of Lucama, Nikki Burford of Lucama, Charles Parrish (Angela) of Deep Run, Jessica Jones (Aaron) of Wilson; nine great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home and other times at the home of Richard and Linda.
