Mae Mullen Collier Best January 15, 1927 July 20, 2016 Wilson.........Mae Mullen Collier Best, age 89, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Albert F. Collier. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Stevenson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private committal service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. She is survived by her husband, William Best, Jr. of Wilson; son, Michael Lee Collier and wife, Susan, of Wilson; grandchildren, Matthew Collier, Ryan Collier, Brittany Collier; longtime family friend of 42 years, Lorenea "Peanut" Reason of Rocky Mount.
