Mavis Wilson Stott October 21, 1933 January 28, 2016 Raleigh.........Mavis Wilson Stott, age 82, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016. After a long struggle, Mavis Wilson Stott has gone home to be with Jesus and will never again suffer any sickness or pain. She is eternally free, eternally young, resting in the arms of her Lord. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, February 02, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Western Blvd. Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Betty Connette and Pastor Chad Harvey officiating. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Stott of the home; son, Todd Stott and wife, Gwendolyn, of Smithfield; granddaughters, Gracie Stott and Hannah Stott. Mavis loved her family, extended family and friends dearly. Mavis and Kenny, the love of her life, enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Her other greatest loves were her son, Todd and wife, Gwen and her two granddaughters, Gracie and Hannah. She was a true friend to everyone she met. Mavis served as an Elder at Western Blvd. Presbyterian Church where she had been very active. Her faithful prayers were of great comfort to everyone. Mavis was unassuming and very humble. Mavis' kind and gentle soul will be greatly missed. Mavis was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. She had many extended family members she loved and cared for deeply.
