Michael David Grimsley May 06, 1958 March 14, 2016 Smithfield............Michael David Grimsley, age 57, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Cady J. Grimsley; mother, Geraldine Ward Grimsley and son, David Lee Grimsley. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Greenwood officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. He is survived by his daughters, Christy Grimsley-Reason of Stantonsburg, Katlin Grimsley of Lucama, Stacey Grimsley of Lucama; son, Christian Grimsley of Smithfield; sister, Frances VanDooser of Wendell; brother, Bobby Grimsley of Black Creek; grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Lynsey Reason; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home.
