Patsy Dawes Amerson

Bailey..............Patsy Dawes Amerson, age 84, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016. She was born March 23, 1931 the daughter of the late Les and Fannie Mae Dawes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert Amerson. She is survived by her son Bobby (Marilyn) Amerson of Callaway, Virginia and former daughter-in-law Barbara (Raymond) Pittman of Wilson; grandson, Robbie (Joddy) Amerson of Nashville, North Carolina and Jarrett (Emily) Amerson of Rocky Mount, Virginia as well as four great grandchildren; Mitchell and Maggie Amerson of Nashville, North Carolina and Ean and Conner Amerson of Rocky Mount, Virginia. She also leaves behind two sisters: Peggy Brantly (Short) and Barbara Ruth (Milton) both of Bailey. Pat was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook, a tireless worker, and a talented seamstress who shared her smile and kind spirit with everyone she met. Graveside services will be held 11 AM at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson, North Carolina. The family will receive friends Monday, March 21 from 6 to 8 P M at Shingleton Funeral Home.
