Billie Jennings Bardin May 31, 1926 - July 27, 2018 STANTONSBURG - Billie Jennings Bardin, 92 a life-long resident of Stantonsburg, passed away on July 27, 2018. The family will receive friends and guests at Shingleton Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Stantonsburg Cemetery on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy Jobe Bardin; his son Dr. Billy B. Bardin (wife Linh), and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Neta Bailey Bardin and Jack Bardin as well as his uncle Charlie Bardin along with several brothers and sisters in the West family. Bardin was born in Bull Head Township, Greene Co, NC to George M. and Victoria M. West. He was a Sergeant-TEC4 in the United States Army in the pacific theater during WWII. Bardin worked nearly 40 years for S.T. Wooten Corporation, retiring as vice president and office manager in 1991. He was active in social and veterans organizations during his life as a longstanding member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and The American Legion in which he was a member of the Dail-Bell Post, severing as commander. Bardin also previously served on the Stantonsburg Town Council. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations please be made to Stantonsburg Emergency Medical Services in Bardin's honor.
