Dorothy Mae Ellis Mercer March 11, 1924 January 23, 2015 Wilson..Dorothy Mae Ellis Mercer, age 90, died Friday, January 23, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Nora Ellis; husband, Albert Mercer; brothers, Leroy and Paul Ellis. Funeral services will be conducted at Shingleton Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Hagan officiating. Interment will follow at Edwin Owens Family Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Faye Roberson (Bobby) of Elm City, Ann Wainwright (Ricky) of Stantonsburg; son, Albert Mercer, Jr. (Pattie) of the home; grandchildren, Brenda Bryant (Mickey), Linda Stallings (Greg), Ricky Lee Wainwright (Sue Ann), Craig Mercer (Heather), Bobbie Jo Roberson ( Keith) and ten great-grandchildren.
