Lucy Wallace Flowers November 28, 1921 May 27, 2015 Elm CityLucy Flowers, age 93, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Earl Flowers. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved being with her family. She worked many years on the farm with her husband, Earl. Working in her garden and yard gave her much pleasure. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Shingleton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby White and Rev. Dwight Batts officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. She is survived by four daughters, Annie Lois F. Eason (George) of Macclesfield, Carol F. Webb of Elm City, Linda F. Webb (Donald) of Stantonsburg and Vicki F. Webb (Wayne) of Elm City; eight grandchildren, Cindy Yarborough (Robert) of Clayton, Dawn Dixon (Chris) of Fayetteville, Steve Webb (Kathy) of Elm City, Penny Cuddington (Owen) of Stantonsburg, Lisa Huskins (Alan) of Bakersville, Scott Webb of Wilson, Kevin Webb (Susan) of Wilson and Amanda Webb of Elm City; nine great-grandchildren, Kristen Cuddington, Heather Cuddington, Timothy Morris, Brooks Dixon, Emma Dixon, April Huskins, Eli, Grace and Bekah Webb. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home and other times at the home.
