Marolin V. "Mickey" Whitley January 19, 1942 April 25, 2017 Elm City......... Marolin V. "Mickey" Whitley, age 75, passed away at Nash General Hospital on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Maggie Whitley; brother, Ray Whitley; sister, Connie Webb; niece, Nikki Whitley. Funeral services will be conducted at Shingleton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Whitley Family Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Joan Whitley of the home; sons, Todd Whitley and wife, Elizabeth, Paul Whitley and their mother, Brenda Whitley Smoot; sisters, Violet Harrell, Diane Whitley; brother, Tony Whitley; grandsons, Joshua and Shea Whitley; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. and other times at the home. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Marolin V.
