Marvin Edwin Braswell April 30, 1938 July 17, 2015 Black Creek...Marvin Edwin Braswell, age 77, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel Church, Frank Price Church Rd., Wilson with the Rev. Walt Tyndall and Rev. Bill Groce officiating. Interment will follow at Black Creek Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Bessie Braswell; brother, Grady Braswell; son, Edwin Keith Braswell and grandson, Stephen Glenn Braswell. He is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Patsy Barfield Braswell; daughters, Janie Galloway and husband, Jeff, of Black Creek, Susan Pugh and husband, Ronald, of Wilson; son, Marvin Glenn Braswell and wife, Cathy, of Wilson; grandchildren, Alex and Holly Galloway, Tracey, Allen and Kimberly Pugh, Chase and Garrett Joyner; brother, Clarence Linwood Braswell (Judy) of Black Creek; sisters, Joan Crabtree (Dale) of Elm City, Shirley May (Russell) of Apex, Betty Lucas (Robert Bridgers) of Black Creek, and Vickie Norman of Black Creek. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 at Shingleton Funeral Home and other times at the home.
