Sylvia Skinner Pittman August 6, 1934 January 10, 2015 Wilson...Sylvia Skinner Pittman, age 80, died Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alston Pittman; parents, Russell and Julia Skinner; sister, Sallie Pridgen; brothers, Bud Skinner and William Skinner. Funeral services will be conducted at Shingleton Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 13th, at 11:00 a.m. with family friend, Billy Ray Lucas officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Winstead (Bennie) of Wilson; sons, Ricky Pittman, Rusty Pittman (Judy), A.J. Pittman (Angie) all of Wilson; sister, Ruth Breedlove of Wilson; brothers, Tom Skinner (Ann) of Black Creek, Gerald Skinner (Lois) of Wilson; grandchildren, Kristy (Chris), Nicholas (Ashley), Dustin (Laura), Brittany, Alston III (Little A), Brandon; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Caleb, and special pet, Braxton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:30-8 PM. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
