Willis H. Burgess March 22, 1938 June 16, 2014 SimsWillis H. Burgess, age 76, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014. Willis graduated from Rock Ridge High School and then joined the US Marine Corps. He then moved to Chicago where he married and worked for St. Clair Packwell Corp. for many years before returning to Sims. Graveside services will be conducted at Bailey Town Cemetery Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Darrell Davis officiating. He was the father of Barbara, James, Dwayne, Scott, Michael, Tammy; grandfather of Ashley, Yasmin, Savannah, Seth, Aiden, Devin; loving son of Gladys and the late Harvey Jim Burgess; brother of Harold (Cheryl), the late Thomas (late Janet) and late Daniel and uncle of Gladys, Tom, Jr., Harold Jr., Bradley and Brian.
