                         Brenda Renee Davis, 52, of Lucama, NC passed away Tuesday, July 05, 2022.

                         Born January 19, 1970 to the late Brenda “Kay” Reason, Renee Leaves behind her husband, Christopher Davis of the home, two children, Christopher “Chance” Davis of the home, and Miranda Kirkland of Greenville, and two fur children, Lilly Belle and Phantom. Also surviving are her grandmother, Margaret Barnes of Stantonsburg, brother, Joseph Reason and wife Heather of Hickory, nephew, Cole Reason of Farmville, special family members Shirley Goff, Donna James, Jesse James, Guy Barnes, Margaret Howard, and countless friends, coworkers, and family members. Welcoming her at the pearly gates are her mother, Brenda Kay Reason, and niece, Taylor Kate Reason, amongst other loved ones.

                         There were few things in life Renee loved more than a Duke Basketball win over UNC, a friendly rivalry in the household. Coming in close behind were days spent tanning on the beach, spoiling her dogs with squeaky toys, and a cold one after work. After being a stay at home mom most of her life, Renee decided to become a registered nurse at the age of forty one. Her deep concern and large heart for those she felt were often misunderstood and disregarded led her to geriatrics. She will be remembered for the love and care she gave each of her patients across eastern NC during her time spent as a nurse.

                         Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Goff officiating. Interment will follow at Stantonsburg Town Cemetery.
