                         Wilson….Daniel Shelton Murphy, age 69, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Danny loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him, after retiring, he especially missed his work family at O`Reilly`s.

                         He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Earl and Adele Raper Murphy; brother, James Earl Murphy; sister, Pat Holland; daughter, Shelly Murphy.

                         He is survived by his loving companion of thirty five years Drenda; daughter, Jennifer Slate (Chad) of Wilson; sons, Ronnie Davis of Lucama, Charlie Davis of Gloucester; sister – in – law, Bonnie Murphy of Wilson; loving fur baby, Callie; five grandchildren and four great – grandchildren.

                         A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Raper officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service.

                         In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his favorite charity, St. Jude`s Hospital.
