David Lynn "Foots" Whitley

           Stantonsburg…..David Lynn “Foots” Whitley, Sr. passed away on June 19, 2025 at his home. He was born in Wilson County, NC on January 14, 1960 to Jesse Lee Whitley and Dorothy Raper Walston. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his son, David Lynn Whitley, Jr.; sister, Kathy Whitley Thigpen.

                   Lynn is survived by his mother, Dorothy Raper Walston of the home; brothers, Ricky Allen Whitley and Clifton Wayne Whitley; special niece, Charlotte Thigpen, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

                    A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Pastor Rex Edwards officiating.
