Doris Pearson Lucas

 Nashville….Doris Pearson Lucas, age 99, formerly of Wilson, passed away, Monday, August 28, 2023.

                         She was preceded in death by her husband, Carris R. Lucas and a grandson-in-law, Dan Weaver.

                         She is survived by her daughters, Dee Patterson (Tim) of Bailey, Carol Smithwick (Richard) of Rocky Mount; granddaughter, Dena Weaver; great-granddaughter, Blair Tew (Nick); and great-great grandson, Colton Tew.

                         A visitation will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Shingleton Funeral Home with funeral services following at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Gerry Blood and the Rev. Walter Blackman officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery in Wilson.
