Douglas Charles Wood, Sr.

                    Bailey….Douglas Charles Wood, Sr. age 76, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025. He was born in Currituck, Co. NC to the late Oscar and Bessie Earl Morgan Wood. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Rebecca A. Aycock, Linda Marie Williford, Joyce Ann Smith, and Nancy Lee Hughes; brothers, Oscar (Buddy) Charles Wood, Jr., and Robert Earl Wood.

                         Douglas leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Tina Louise Beddingfield (Jason) of Middlesex; son, Douglas Charles Wood, Jr. of Bailey; sister, Patricia Lynn Strickland (Raymond) of Bailey; grandchildren, Nina Lynn Spivey, Matthew Jason Beddingfield, Joshua Beddingfield, and Grace Wood; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Spivey, Kylie Spivey, and Lyle Spivey.

                        A visitation will be held Sunday August 31, 2025 from 2:00pm until 2:45 pm at Shingleton Funeral Home with services immediately following at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Brian Wible officiating. Interment will follow at Black Creek Town Cemetery.
