Esther Lee Waddell Walston November 23, 1924 April 06, 2014 Elm CityEsther Lee Waddell Walston, age 89, died Sunday, April 06, 2014. Graveside services will be conducted at The Whaley Family Cemetery on Wednesday, April 09, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Hagan officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Walston, Sr., her son, Preston Walston, Jr., brothers, Junius and Bobby Waddell and her sister, Vera Holt. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ellen Ray and husband, Jerry; brother, Roland B. Waddell of Bailey; grandson, David Walston and wife, Louise, of Wilmington; granddaughter, Tammy Walston of Wilson; great-grandsons, Garrett Walston, Blake Walston, David Bass; several nieces and nephews.
