Eunice Perry Russell

December 26, 1933 – May 22, 2024

            Wilson….Eunice Perry Russell, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

            Born in Bailey, N.C. Nash County.  She attended Atlantic Christian College in Wilson (Barton) with a degree in education.  She taught in various schools in Virginia and North Carolina.  She was a Teacher’s Aid for 17 years at Tanglewood Elementary School in Lumberton N.C.  She was a pastor’s wife for 23 years.  She was an active member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church

            Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Ida Perry; her husband, Rev. Charles Russell; her sisters, Sidney Stancil and Ruby Ballance; and three little brothers.

            Eunice is survived by her son, Chuck Russell (Maggie) of North Wilkesboro; her daughter, Valerie Russell, of the home; her granddaughter Molly Russell; and two grandcats, Chewy and Tiny.

            The family wishes to express their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice of Wilson.

            A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home, 2413 Nash Street NW, Wilson, NC 27896, with Rev. Matthew Roman and Rev. David Barnes officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Maplewood Cemetery.  A visitation with the family will be at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Shingleton Funeral Home.
