 Bailey, NC….Evelyn Bunn Liles, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the age of 88. Evelyn was a devoted, loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  She is lovingly remembered by her family and friends, including: daughters Pam Dew (Donnie) and Denise Creech (Tim); son, Denny Jr. (Beth); grandchildren Auston Dew, Allison Matthews (Brad), Lindsay Williams (David), Walter Creech, Nick Liles, Will Liles (Maggie) and Ben Liles (Lindsay); sister Carolyn Ruffin (Billy) ; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Denny, mother Sudie Bunn, father Walter Bunn and brother James Bunn.  Born and raised in Bailey, NC, Evelyn, along with her husband Denny, were the owners and operators of Bailey Furniture Company for over 50 years.  Evelyn worked with Dr. Charles Cooke, DDS as a dental assistant and office manager.  In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Flowers are accepted, or memorial donations may be given to the Bailey Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 816, Bailey, NC 27807 or the New Sandy Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 8021 New Sandy Hill Church Road, Bailey, NC 27807. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday April 8, 2023 at 11:00 am. in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Sullivan officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Interment will be private.
