George Mack Eatmon

November 6, 1938 – February 18, 2022

                                 Bailey….George Mack Eatmon, 83, of Bailey passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

                                 He fought a valiant fight against Alzheimer’s and he finally made it home. The family is being served by Shingleton Funeral Home.

                                 He is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Joyce Whitley Eatmon; daughter, Amy Eatmon Coats and husband, Mark of Clayton; grandsons, Markus and Will Coats of Clayton, sister; Jean Eatmon Solot of Denver Co., brothers, Horace “Pete” Eatmon (Sarah) and William “Bill” Eatmon (Jeri) both of Bailey and sister in law, Patricia Eatmon of Ernul, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

                                 He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lula B Eatmon; brother, Charles Milton Eatmon and brother in law, Ray Solot.

                                 A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home.

                                 A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Bailey Town Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Ellis and the Rev. Walter Blackmon officiating.
