Elm City….Haywood Darnell “Donnie” Perry, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away, age 69, Friday, December 17, 2021.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Matthew Horne officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Hazel Bailey Perry; daughter, Pamela Bryant; granddaughter, Misty O’Shea; and great-grandsons, Jeremy and T.J O’Shea .
He is survived by his wife Linda Hayes Perry of the home; daughters, Tracy Farmer and Terry Glore, both of Morehead City; sons, Haywood D. Perry, Jr. (Nicole), Mike Horne (Robin), both of Rocky Mount, Jeff Horne (Lisa) of Elm City, and Chris Horne (Angel), of Rocky Mount; sisters, Peggy Shaffer (Chuck) of Ohio and JoAnn Passerillo of Princeton; brother, Bobby Perry of Macclesfield, eighteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren..
