James Beck, Jr. June 26, 1923 December 20, 2015 Kernersville............James Beck, Jr., age 92, formerly of Bailey, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015. Jim was a US Navy Retired Chief Petty Officer and served on the USS Midway. He was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie F. Beck; son, Richard "Ricky" D. Beck; parents, James Beck, Sr. and Amanda Beck; sisters, Creola B. Richardson and Sibyl B. Jenkins; brothers, Charles F. Beck and Bryce G. Beck. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Bailey Town Cemetery with the Rev. Don Mason officiating. He is survived by his sister, Nancy B. Boles and husband, Clarence, of Winston-Salem; grandson, David Beck of New York and several nieces and nephews.
