                    James Earl Walston, Sr., age 89, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

                    A graveside service will be conducted Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Cam Coburn officiating.

                    He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Betsy Walston; sister, Adele Windham; grandson, Kevin Walston.

                    He is survived by his wife Rochelle Walston of the home; daughter, Rose Gill (Jimmy) of Stantonsburg; son, James E. Walston, Jr. (Jackie) of Stantonsburg; sister, Sallie Whitley of Wilson; brothers, Billy Walston (Fannie) of Stantonsburg, and Bobby Walston (Dee) of Raleigh; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
