He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Jo Whitley and sister, Shannon Nicole Reason Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elm City with Paul O. Reason II officiating. He is survived by his wife, April Reason of the home; father, Jerry Reason of Elm City; daughters, Rebel Reason, Mamie Jo Reason; sons, Paul O. Reason II, James Garland Reason, Jerry Lynn Reason II, all of the home; brother, Scott Keith Reason of Elm City; grandsons, Jackson Levi Reason and Jayden Michael Reason; cousin, Walter Melvin Reason & wife, Dede.
