                   Wilson…. John William “Durwood” Owens, age 82, passed away Sunday, December 06, 2020.

                   Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Shingleton Funeral Home. 

                   A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Owens Family Cemetery with the Rev. Jackie Freeman officiating.

                   He was preceded in death by his parents, William David and Mary Elsie Owens; brothers, Alan Owens and Royce L. Owens.

                   He is survived by his sister, Mary Pauline Barrett of Goldsboro; nephew, William Stuart Barrett (Judy) of Middleton, FL; nieces, Diane Johnson (Jimmy) of Matthews, NC, Mary Branson “LuLu” (Craig) of Goldsboro, Angie Olson (Julio) of Jacksonville, NC, and Bridgette Dowden Johnson of Jacksonville, NC; Loving friend and caretaker, Wanda Thompson.
