                         Wilson….Johnny Ray Whitley, age 72, passed away, Monday, March 13, 2023.

                         He was preceded in death by his wife, Althea Morgan Whitley and brother, James Whitley.

                         He is survived by his sons, JR Whitley, Jr. (Tanya) of Wilson, Jonathan Whitley of Wilson; grandchildren, Noah Whitley (Teresa), Zachary Whitley, Justin Whitley, Logan Whitley, Waylon Whitley; great – grandchild, Marcus Whitley.

                         A visitation will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home.

                         Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Whitley Family Cemetery, 5310 US Hwy 264 Alt. Wilson, NC 27893.

                         In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shingleton Funeral Home to help the family with end of life expenses.
