                         Wilson….Joseph Michael Johnson, age 89, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022.

                         A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shingleton Funeral Home.

                         Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Rex Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

                         He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Sallie Bass Johnson, four brothers, one sister, and special great-niece, Amy Skinner.

                         He is survived by his nieces, Martha Edwards (Rex) of Wilson, Robin Harrell (David) of Elm City, Freida Taylor (Johnny) of Elm City, and Rose Marie Turner (Bruce) of Wilson; nephews, Mike Skinner (Kitty)  and Jeff Skinner (Beverly) both of Winterville, Greg Skinner (Megan) of South Carolina, Wayne Johnson of Bailey, Phillip Johnson and Don Johnson (Amy) both of Wilson, William Johnson of Kenly; numerous great nieces and nephews that he cherished.
