Bailey…. Melvin Murray, age 87, passed away Friday, June 02, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Edith Ferrell Murray; son, Scotty Murray; sister, Sylvia Jones; great-grandson, Michael Austin.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Creech Murray of the home; daughters, Crystal Murray of Bailey, Susie Austin and husband, Ricky of Bailey; step-daughter, Tracy Woodard and husband, David of Smithfield; son, Marty Murray and wife, Dale of Bailey, step-son, Jeff Dale and wife, Candace of Pine Level; brother, Roger Murray and wife, Hope of Spring Hope; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; fur baby, Brandi.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 04, 2023 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Shingleton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 05, 2023 at Stony Hill FWB Church at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Roger Murray and the Rev. Ricky Anderson officiating. A private Interment will immediately follow the service.
Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in his name to Stony Hill FWB Church 9649 Stony Hill Church Rd, Middlesex, NC 27557.
