Michael Huber Obituary

Michael Lee Huber

2Timothy 4:8

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Michael Lee Huber, age 68, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024. Until his retirement he was a licensed electrician. He played football at Penn State for Joe Paterno. He loved football, his tools, writing instruments, clothes, Trivia, tinkering in his garage and anytime he got to spend with his grandchildren. If you ever borrowed one of his tools you better be willing to leave as collateral your right arm or something of great value to you. He was really serious about his tools.  He could talk the hinges off a door or sell ice to the Eskimos, boy could he talk. His dear friend and pastor, Dr. Kevin Hudson, introduced him to a man named Jesus and the very, very Big and the very, very Angry Yankee became a born again Christian. As Michael would say’ I`m in the mailbox with the flag up and I`m ready to go whenever he calls me. His favorite hymn was Three Rusty Nails as sung by the late Skyler Smith and his wife Julie.  Every time he heard the hymn it made him cry. To think Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for anyone if they would only accept the gift of eternal life because of his shed blood on calvary. It got to him every time. He loved, was loved and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife of twenty years, Debbie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Dorothy Huber of York, PA, also his much adored maternal grandmother, Hattie Staub and; brothers, Chris and Tom Huber.

He is survived by his brother, Bernard (Bud & Meg) Huber of Venice, FL; sister, Pat Roth of N. Fort Meyers, FL; daughters, Tara Lemerise of Rockville, MD and Emmalee Myers of Merritt Island, FL; step-daughters, Stephanie Alston (Marion) of Littleton and Ashley (Chris) Letchworth of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Jake Brooks, Logan William, Dallas Ryne, Jack Byron, Daniel Wayne, Dierks Todd, Abigail Louise, Will Frazier, Sadie Sydney, and Charlotte Rose; step-grandchildren, Taylor Hope, Lance Chandler, and Katherine Elizabeth. Bye, don`t cry. I`m in Heaven now, Love PaPaw…Big Mike.

A private service will take place at a later date.
