Myrtle Kate (Womble) Scott

                         Wilson….Myrtle Kate Womble Scott, age 89, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She worked for many years at Sampson Manufacturing A.K.A. Shirt factory. Myrtle was a nanny for two families for many years and was a caregiver to her own family members. She always had a positive attitude and an uplifting spirit. Myrtle loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

                         Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Wilson and Estell Skinner Womble, husband, Millard “Micky” Scott; daughter, Jackie Scott Davis; son-in-law, Danny C. Davis; sister, Earldean W. Ellis; brothers, J.L. Womble, Curtis Womble; nephew, Jay E. Womble.

                         Myrtle is survived by her special nieces and nephews, Rachel E. Parrish, Janice E. Shackelford, Brian S. Parrish, Charles (Ty) Shackelford; many other nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sandra Brantley.

                         Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 pm with the visitation one hour prior to the service in the Chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with Dwight Batts officiating. Burial will be private.
