Sandra Wheeler McKnight May 23, 1970 May 14, 2016 Stantonsburg..........Sandra Kaye Wheeler McKnight, age 45, passed away peacefully after a brief illness Saturday, May 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving husband, David; daughter, Jamie; sister, Tracy; mother, Sandra; family friend, Robert. Kaye was born in Virginia but spent most of her life in N.C. She attended Clayton High School. She currently resided in Stantonsburg with her beloved husband, David and her loving therapy dog, Trixie. Kaye was preceded in death by her father, William A. Wheeler and both sets of grandparents; late husband, James Cooley. An informal gathering to celebrate Kaye's life will be held on May 21, 2016 from 1-4 pm at 104 Brazil Nut Lane, Smithfield, NC. She is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Jamie Cooley; mother, Sandra Ennis; sisters, Tina Stodder (Bill), Tracy, nita Perry (Stanley); nieces, McKenzie Wheeler, Leah Perry; nephews, Alex Stodder and M.J.
