Verdie Lee Tedder Dunn

December 22, 1927 – August 11, 2021

                         Wilson….Verdie Lee Tedder Dunn, age 93, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

                         Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with the Rev. David List officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service.

                         She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Dunn; parents, Luke C. and Victoria Lewis Tedder; sisters, Ethel Shepard, Mildred Murphy, Geneva Godwin, Rachel Duke and Geraldine Scott; step-son, Danny Dunn; brother, Luke (Bud) Tedder Jr.; granddaughter, Suzy Boykin and a grandson, John Daniel Boykin.

                         She is survived by her sons, Alan Boykin (Kay) of Lucama, Ray Boykin (Sue) of Elm City and John Boykin (Terry) of Lucama; step-daughter-in-law, Joette Dunn of Lucama; sisters, Sally Hill, Yvonne Bass, Mary Jean Scott and Vara Mattis all of Wilson; brothers, Carlton Tedder (Ramona) of Wilson, Marion Tedder (Faye) of Roseville; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

                        Shingleton Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Dunn family.
