                        Whitakers….William Winstead formerly of Wilson, age 98, passed away of natural causes Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

                        A graveside service will be conducted Friday, September 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson with the Rev. Kim Lail and Elder Johnny Gardner officiating.

                       He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin P. Winstead and Pattie Webb Winstead; wife, Ruby Tedder Winstead, and his twin brother Robert W. Winstead.          

                        He is survived by his daughter, Janet Harper (Frank) of Whitakers; grandchildren, Lisa Harper Menius (Luke) and Shea Spencer Harper (Deborah); great-grandchildren, Harper Menius, Stella Menius, and Gavin Harper.

                        In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Battleboro United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 178, Battleboro, NC 27809 or to Williams Primitive Baptist Church in c/o Gloria Lyndaker, 2013 Old Country Home Road, Tarboro, NC 27886.

Due to the weather we will be having the Funeral at Shingleton Funeral Home instead of Maplewood Cemetery.
